Commenting on a new letter from the Chief Medical Officer and Chief Pharmaceutical Officer, giving advice to health professionals on preparations for a no deal Brexit which warns of medicine shortages and the need to provide alternative treatments, Scottish Liberal Democrat health spokesperson Alex Cole-Hamilton MSP said:

"My constituents are worried that they will not get their medicine and horrified at Scottish Conservative MPs who still won't rule out a no deal exit.

"Any Brexit will be bad for our NHS, whether it be by crashing out without a deal or cutting off the precious supply of European workers who support patients in our health service.

"This has to go back to the people for a People's Vote, lives are at stake."
