The vicious slicing of police numbers in Southend needs to stop now!

Leigh Times article on policing 11 April 2019 ()"Lib Dem councillor Carole Mulroney said "Whichever way the Police, Crime and Fire Commissioner dress this up, there has been a reduction of immense proportions in the police numbers in Essex. In Southend we have seen the worst of this and as a consequence we now have citizens in all areas worried about the potential for knife crime, concerned about increases in burglaries and thefts and scared of anti-social behaviour - on top of the hate crime, drugs issues and cybercrime. The need is desperate in all our areas."
