The Liberal Democrats, the Greens, the SNP, Change UK and Plaid Cymru won 40% of the vote compared to 35% for the Brexit Party and UKIP.

Clearly, there is no mandate for Nigel Farage's terrifying vision of crashing out of the EU with no deal. But there is real danger ahead. Farage has reinserted himself back into our politics. That means we face a huge battle over the coming weeks.
