Each October, members of the Liberal Democrats aged 26 and under go to the polls to elect the Young Liberals Executive for the next year. This year was no exception and for the first time in memory, Young Liberals from Essex have won seats in their elections.
Our congratulations go out to Kieron Franks, the President of Essex University Liberal Democrats on his election as the Chair of the East of England Young Liberals. In this role he'll be representing young members at a regional level.
Congratulations also go to Matthew Craven, a graduate of Essex University and the new Vice Chair of the Young Liberals. He will be playing a key role in leading and shaping the Young Liberals.
Finally, Callum Robertson, Lib Dem Police, Fire & Crime Commissioner Candidate for Essex, has been elected as co-Chair of the Young Liberals. He will be leading the Young Liberals for the next year and sitting on the Federal Board of the Liberal Democrats.
